“In the Trenches”

Producer Robin Bond and Assistant Editor Eric Carlson wade through scripts in the Cutting Room at Derby Baby headquarters in Littleton, Colorado. Co-producer and “Environmentalist” Dave Wruck snapped the photo, while cringing at the volume of trees that must die during the scripting process. (We feel you, Dave.)Unfortunately, “old school” editing still reigns when trying to cull a monster 6-hour mini-series into a manageable 90-minute movie. Our team has spent countless hours on this massive “paper edit” phase; printing, highlighting, cutting, and taping of thousands of strips of paper onto moveable folding tables. In our experience, we have found this to be the best way for the creative team to get their minds around a movie script. Forgive us, Mother Earth. SEEVIDEO:bit.ly/lV8jvr
